if(x+1) is a factor of polynomial (2x²+kx)then we would find zeroes of (x+1) = x= -1

p(x)=(2x²+kx)

p(-1)=(2*1+k*-1)

now

(2*1+k*-1) =0

2-k=0

-k=-2

k=2
