I answered the first part of your question about Kate Chopin's "The Story of an Hour" earlier. Please refer to the link below.

The short story tells the tale of Louise Mallard, a woman with an undisclosed heart condition, who receives word that her husband has been killed in a train accident. Although initially appearing to be upset, when she retires to the privacy of her room, the reader discovers that she is overwhelmed with happiness that she will now be "free, free, free" of her husband. She plans a whole new life without the burden of her mate. When her sister requests that she come back to the main room, the door suddenly swings open and her husband--quite alive--appears. Louise collapses--dead of a heart attack.
