Describe the functions of - Meristem, Xylem and phloem​

Meristem: It is a continuously dividing tissue, function is to add new cells for increase in height, girth and replacement of cells.

Xylem: conduction of water and minerals from roots to the leaves

Phloem: conduction of food material from leaves or source to other parts of the plant or the sink.
