Bismillah Khan loved India devotedly. So when a student of his, requested him to start a shehnai school in the USA, and even promised to recreate the atmosphere of Benaras by replicating the temples there, Khansaab turned down his proposal saying the former could not transport River Ganga from India to the USA, and he could not live away from River Ganga.
