When there are roles to be played, it means they're interconnected forming a complex web. Biologically such complex web is known as food change or food web. Such dependence can even better be digged & can make us aware of terminologies like, symbiosis or mutualism. When one organism depends upon other without harming eachother they obtain symbiosis. But sometimes organisms also eat their same species & they can be determined as CANNIBALS & the act is known as CANNABILISM.
