Ram borrows a total sum of 4,000 from two of his friends, one at a simple interest of 8% and another at a simple interest of 10%. If the total interest he has to pay at the end of the year is 352, How to find out how muchhas he borrowed from each of them?​

Ans: 2400

Required solution=8% on 4000 =Rs. 320

                             =10% on 4000 =Rs. 400

                      Now,Rs (352 -320)=Rs 32 .... (i)

                               Rs (400-352)= Rs. 48  .....(ii)

  Take the opposite ratios  from equation  (i) and (ii)

i.e Rs. 48 : Rs. 32

           3  :  2

Thus sum lent on 8% is

(3/5 *4000 ) = Rs. 2400
